A 14-week old puppy has been found alive and well in Richmond Park after spending three nights outside in freezing conditions.
Poor Angus, an apricot-coloured labradoodle, went missing on his first trip off-the-lead in Richmond Park after he was spooked and ran off.
A sterling effort from the Richmond community, with more than fifty people combing the park at one point, resulted in Angus being discovered huddled in a tree stump on Saturday, near the Royal Ballet School.
His relieved owner Clare Brown said in a Facebook post: “Angus was found today after three days and nights in Richmond Park. The support of the community has been overwhelming and had it not been for everyone’s diligence, I doubt we would have him back.
“We are eternally grateful to you all and we will always be here to help anyone who needs it in the future. I look forward to meeting some of you in the park now happier times are ahead.”
