Hertsmere’s MP has been promoted in Theresa’s May’s latest government reshuffle.
Oliver Dowden has been appointed Parliamentary Secretary at the Cabinet Office and will report to the department minister, David Lidington MP.
Mr Dowden spoke of his “delight” at his new role, after he was tasked with being responsible for cross-government policy implementation.
He said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as minister for implementation at the cabinet office. It’s an honour to be able to serve Hertsmere and the country by helping to ensure that the government delivers on the things that matter to people.
“Of course I will continue to work as our area’s MP, representing the people of Hertsmere.”
