Married At First Sight Australia season ten alumni Jesse Burford and Janelle Han, whose partners cheated on them with one another, have confirmed they are in a relationship. The pair went Instagram official over the weekend, uploading a selection of photos of them alongside their former castmates in Fremantle, Western Australia.
Jesse and Janelle attended Falls Festival with MAFS co-stars Tahnee Cook and Ollie Skelton, who were paired together during the experiment and continued their relationship on the outside. The photos were taken at the Love Island event back in January, but were only shared by the Perth-based marriage celebrant after weeks of whispers the pair were an item.
Janelle, who’s recently moved from Perth to Sydney, spoke about her relationship with Jesse on the Back to Reality podcast, hosted by former MAFS contestant Al Perkins and Love Island Australia star Taku Chimwaza, saying they were “more than friends” and “trauma bonded” over the betrayal from their partners on the show.
Janelle said: “There was a moment before I left for Sydney that me and Jesse were hanging out heaps, it was at the peak of when the cheating scandal came out [on TV] and potentially [it was] a trauma bond but we grew very close and we did share one peck.”
During their time on the show, Janelle married Adam Seed while Jesse was paired with Claire Nomarhas. Both of them were cheated on by their respective partners, with both Adam and Claire denying any wrongdoing.
The drama continued to follow the couples, as Claire admitted to Jesse that she and Adam did share a kiss on the night out they’d all been on. Janelle and Adam left the experiment during the third commitment ceremony, while Claire and Jesse exited during the fifth.
