
A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being stabbed in an assault last night (Wednesday, December 20). The incident took place on The Hale at around 6.25pm.
The 22-year-old was found by the police with stab wounds and rushed to hospital. He remains in critical condition. His next of kin have been informed. No arrests have been made and the police are investigating the assault.
A crime scene remains in place on the road. A spokesperson for the Met said: "Police were called at approximately 18:25hrs on Wednesday, 20 December to reports of a man assaulted in The Hale, N17.
"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a 22-year-old man suffering stab injuries; he was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. His next of kin have been informed. No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue by detectives from Haringey CID. Work continues to establish the motive for the assault and there will be additional patrols in the area.
