Live Teddington attack updates after 'serious assault' at cemetery with police crime scene set up

A crime scene has been set up at a cemetery after a "serious assault" late at night. Teddington Cemetery was taped off by the Met Police on Sunday morning (December 17) after a late night attack. The Grade II listed municipal cemetery is located on Shacklegate Lane in the north of Teddington, in Richmond.

The Teddington Ward Neighbourhood Policing Team tweeted at 8.36am on Sunday: "There is currently a crime scene in place around Teddington Cemetery following a serious assault last night. Three suspects have been arrested and the offence is being investigated by our CID colleagues."

The exact details of the reported assault are not known at this stage but in a later reply on X at 9.51am a member of the policing team replied to a member of the public to say it was an "isolated incident that happened late last night". MyLondon has contacted the Met Police for more information.
