A woman who was hit by a bus in Lewisham has been left with injuries that 'may be life changing' according to police. The woman was hit in Rushey Green, Catford, at about 5.50pm yesterday (January 26).
Met Police were called to the scene where they found a woman in her 50s with a leg injury. The woman was rushed to hospital where they said she was 'seriously injured'.
After the woman was hit, the driver of the bus stopped at the scene and the road was closed between Lewisham Town Hall (Catford Gyratory) and Ringstead Buildings.

The police provided an update on the condition of the woman involved in the crash this morning (January 27). They told MyLondon that the 'injuries may be life-changing'.
On the same day, a major East London road was closed following a fatal crash. Emergency services in Dagenham rushed to Leys Avenue where a woman was injured in a collision at 8.26am.
Another woman was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in South London. Emergency Services attended the scene at Lawrie Park Road in Sydenham to reports of a pedestrian being run over. This woman has been left with non life-threatening injuries, the Met has since said.
