Live Teddington traffic updates as 'police incident' closes major road

A major road through west London has been shut due to a police incident. The incident, details of which are not yet known, has led to the closure of the A313 High Street, at the junction of Field Lane, in both directions today (January 1).

The incident occurred between A309 Waldegrave Road and A310 Kingston Road early this morning - around 4.50am. The high street has since been fully closed.

Located in the London Borough of Richmond, the A313 follows the A312 towards Hampton and continues to Teddington, on the north bank of the River Thames. Diversions have been set up for bus routes 281, 285 and R68.

However, according to NavBug, there are currently no reported delays in the area. The Met Police and London Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
