BBC Weather's very depressing London forecast to ring in 2024

For everyone hoping for a white, bright and clear Christmas and New Year, your hopes have been dashed by the most recent predictions from one of the biggest weather forecasters. BBC Weather has rained on everyone's parade by forecasting eight days straight of rain.

The popular weather forecaster has said there will be one day of sunshine - and that's today, December 26. Following that, London is due to be hit by day after day of rain.

The BBC has said: "Tomorrow will become mainly dry early but continuing cloudy. More rain, heavy at times soon moves in from the southwest. The rain tapers off late. A windy and mild day.

The outlook for Thursday through to Saturday isn't much better either. The forecaster has added: "Thursday will see a mix of patchy cloud and bright spells, with some heavy showers.

"Staying very windy. Friday will be rather cloudy with some scattered heavy showers. Drier and clearer by the evening. Still breezy.

"Saturday is expected to be more settled, with variable clouds and a few shower at first. Turning drier and brighter later. North-westerly winds will ease somewhat."

And the rain won't be letting up for New Years' Eve either. According to BBC Weather, it's due to be drizzling at 11pm and midnight, before turning into full on rain from 1am onwards.
