Woman charged with murdering 70-year-old

A woman has been charged with murder following the death of a 70-year-old woman at a home in Walthamstow, east London.

Police and paramedics were called to Blackhorse Road at about 10:45 GMT on 11 December after reports that a woman was unresponsive.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emma Nightingale, 36, of Blackhorse Road, has been charged with murder. She has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on Saturday, 13 December.

Police are asking for witnesses or anyone with information to call 101, quoting reference CAD 2318/11DEC.
