Tens of thousands attend St Patrick's Day parade
The St Patrick's Day parade brought tens of thousands into central London as performers, dancers and community groups travelled from Hyde Park Corner to Trafalgar Square.
Irish county associations, marching bands and vibrant floats filled Piccadilly and Whitehall for the one and half mile procession led by Irish writer and broadcaster Emma Dabiri.
Crowds gathered in Trafalgar Square for a free afternoon festival with live music, traditional dance and cultural displays celebrating London's Irish community.
Organisers said more than 50,000 people typically attend the event, with road closures across the West End throughout the day.
