Families celebrated in the sunshine at Trafalgar Square as hundreds of people of all faiths gathered for the annual Eid on the Square.

Organised by the Mayor of London, the free Eid al-Adha event featured musical performances, food stalls, art installations and a girls fencing team exhibition.

The main stage heard performances from acts like British musician Khaled Siddiq, Danish rapper Isam B and the London Arab Orchestra.

In a recorded message, Sir Sadiq told the crowds: "All, regardless of faith, race or background are welcome."
